 What will you do as a Product Owner?

 

At the ICT division in Groningen, our client works with more than 300 internal and external professionals using the very latest techniques on innovative projects and assignments. The service is provided by the service teams, in close cooperation with the business. The employees in these service teams all work from a department that matches their specialism. To strengthen the Product Owners department, our client is looking for an experienced team player.

Who are you? 
You are the Product Owner who, in collaboration with the stakeholders of your service team, draws up the roadmap(s) that give direction to the course of the products and services of your service team. 
You work from the Agile principles and carry them out. You indicate the prioritization (the what), the service team determines how the work is carried out technically and with minimal waste. You trust and respect the knowledge and skills of the service team. 
You are responsible for financing and set the priorities. The allocated resources for support, new features, technical debt and innovations are used in an effective and transparent manner. 
You know what is on the backlog, you are responsible for prioritizing the work in the backlog and thus determine what with which priority 
is picked up by the service team. 
Your decisions are always transparent and visible in the organization of the backlog.  
 

Who do you work with? 
Of course you work closely with the professionals within your service team. In addition, we expect a broad view of the outside world from you. This means that you not only see the Business Owners of your services as stakeholders, but also architects and consultants, external parties such as partners in the chain.
